New York, NY | The All-time leading rebounder in school history is set to continue his playing career at Bloomfield College. Following his graduation from BMCC in June, Jericho "Jerry" Cherisma will play for the BC Bears on an athletic scholarship while pursuing a degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice.

During his two-year career with the Panthers, Cherisma recorded 464 points and 112 blocks while setting the BMCC All-time record with 599 rebounds. In his sophomore season, the Panthers forward led the country with 17.4 rebounds per game and finished second in blocks with 3.2 per game. After leading BMCC to the conference championship game, Jerry was named a CUNYAC All-star and earned a spot on the second team All-Region.

Cherisma will be joining a Bloomfield College Bears program that has seen plenty of success in recent years. The Bears have won 7 conference championships over the last 15 years, including one most recently in 2017. With the addition of Cherisma to the roster, Bloomfield College has their sights set on defending the CACC title in 2018.
